Hanrui completed her undergraduate and Honours degree at the University of Melbourne, with her Honours project focusing on the synthesis of water-soluble asymmetric thiosemicarbazone complexes under the supervision of Prof. Paul Donnelly. For her PhD, supervised by Prof. Dominic Wright and Prof. Andrew Wheatley, she is focusing on lanthanide-based polyoxometalates.
